In the role of Creative Director for the CSEF, I crafted the brand into a design system. Working with a team of CSEF Board members, including illustrator Pat Sison, we produced a multichannel online presence including website, environmental graphics, merchandise, social media and YouTube content. Our most recent fundraising event, as detailed below, is the first in a series of community building events bringing together skaters, artists and educators to discuss how the three groups can support each other in related endeavors.
I curated and procured donated works by artists, photographers including skateboarding legends Thomas Campbell, Ed Templeton, Jeremy Fish and Don Pendleton, as well as helped lead event logistics, content and environmental strategy and buildout for the event held at 1162 Gallery in Echo Park LA.
The College Skateboarding Educational Foundation (CSEF) provides a brand new opportunity for skateboarders to build better futures for themselves. Regardless of financial assets or personal network, everyone deserves a chance at pursuing a college education. Skateboarders are no exception. Through CSEF’s scholarship fund and mentorship programming, skateboarders all over the country will be given essential assistance with completing their goals in school and in life.
